Monemvasia 2018

The "Stone Ship" that travels through time...

At the south-eastern tip of Laconia, within the medieval walls of Monemvasia lies one of the most well-preserved and alive castle-states in Greece, offering visitors a unique journey through History.

Monemvasia the official name, Monemvasia in its poetic version, Monemvasia or Monovasia for the locals, Malvoazi for the Franks and Malmzy for the English, however you call it, the name of the area comes from the synthetic words "lone" and "entrance", the one and only entrance to the castle state.

At the southern end of the eastern coast of the Peloponnese , the medieval walled castle-state of Monemvasia, the hometown of Yiannis Ritsos, with its 40 Byzantine churches and labyrinthine cobblestones looks like something out of a fairy tale. Even from a distance, it is impossible not to feel awe at the sight of the massive rock.

What is yoga? A philosophy, science, or art?

Through my eyes, yoga is a language of movement that magically creates the connection between all three.

Like any other language, learning it requires discipline, patience, consistency and of course practice.

The more you practice, the more you deepen and expand your journey towards your individual consciousness.

You discover your inner self.

Thus, Yoga is the science of self-knowledge.

The philosophy that enlightens our lives. It is the art of being in peace with oneself and one's surroundings.
